The Rainbow Ram is the home-based craft business of Jess “Sunna” Blalock which was started in 2008, shortly after the birth of her son. Sunna hand-crafts all of the Rainbow Ram’s items using a variety of skills, media, and techniques, including (but not limited to) crochet, knitting, spinning, hand-sewing, hand-embroidery, pyrography, macrame, and herb-craft. Sunna draws inspiration for her work from her Eurasian Steppe and Scandinavian heritage as well as the natural world to create truly one of a kind pieces and wearable fiber art, with a strong emphasis on earth tones and natural materials. Sunna has been a vendor at Beltaine in the Forest, Witchy Weekend, and River Arts in Charleston, WV as well as Morgantown Pagan Pride Day 2012 in Morgantown, WV. Some of her work is currently available at Rising Goddess Goods in South Charleston, WV.
In 2013, her sister Steph “Sam” Milidonis became her partner, specialising in upcycled/recycled jewelry and accessories.
Sunna is also a practising Buddhist (Vajrayana – Gelugpa School) and a member of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid Fellowship (ADF), where she practises Vedic religion. She also does nature walks and wild-crafting/foraging discussions under the banner of Pagans in the Woods! in Charleston, WV.
